What happens when movement
meets image — and place
becomes collaborator?
MOVING IMAGE
Much of my dance life was shaped by solo work: self-reflexive, site-specific, improvised. So it’s no surprise that as I’ve shifted from performance into visual art, I’ve found myself gravitating toward mediums that still hold space for movement, spontaneity, and a deep sensitivity to place.
In moving image, I find a way to choreograph time — to hold presence inside a frame. The camera becomes both witness and partner, capturing not just the body in motion, but the dialogue with the space I inhabit.
What if curiosity led the way?
What if the edit was a partner, not a tool?
What if play was a form of discipline?
Experiments in video and animation
2022 - present
These short digital works emerge from a space of experimentation — spontaneous responses to specific ideas, gestures, and moments. Each piece reflects a different approach, a different impulse, yet all are guided by a consistent intention: to see what happens when I follow the thread of movement, image, and sound without knowing exactly where it will lead.
Play is central to my process — not as something frivolous, but as a method of deep enquiry. In this way, editing becomes an extension of choreography, a way of shaping time and energy. Though I traverse mediums, the dance continues.
